Building a strong culture in a newly merged agency

Building a strong culture in a newly merged agency

A cost-effective internal comms success story

Culture-building is a growing focus for many organisations, with a positive corporate culture boosting both productivity and staff wellbeing. More and more, internal communication is driving the culture agenda. While many culture-building approaches emphasise top-down, executive-led initiatives, bottom-up (and sideways) culture-building strategies are equally important.

We invite you to join Sam Morrison and Corrie Macdonald as they share their experiences and insights from their journey in cultivating a positive culture within their newly-merged agency. This merger brought together diverse departments, integrating 500 staff members scattered across the state, each with unique backgrounds and roles, and navigating the challenges of a hybrid workforce in a post-COVID world.

Discover how Sam and Corrie’s small internal communications team effectively collaborated with both executives and staff to create an engaging and cohesive organisational culture.

Key strategies to be discussed include:

  • Developing a staff behaviours charter

  • Establishing and maintaining a staff consultative body

  • Creating and evolving a popular intranet focused on storytelling.

This session promises practical tactics and fresh perspectives that can be applied to any organisation striving to build a thriving culture. Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and actionable strategies!
